Autumn 2023

With daylight saving over mothing is back on the menu, with a session in the garden. It was not exciting with only a moderate number of moths of familiar species in to the light, the most numerous being Proteuxoa sanguinipuncta and Utetheisa pulchelloides. In fact Noctuids predominated with only a few other types on the sheet.

Pantydia sparsa.

Helicoverpa armigera.

Agrotis porphyricollis, a pale form.

Proteuxoa restituta.

A lone Hepialid, Elhamma australasiae.

A nice Emerald, (Prasinocyma) semicrocea.

Epidesmia tryxaria.

And a Pyralid, Orthaga thyrisalis.
