Just six photos of the most interesting were retained. The first is (Leucania) obusta, a very fresh individual of a species whose life history is not well known, a possible first record for the location.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/natureofgippsland.org\/mothing\/autumn23\/006.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"691\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Orange-rimmed Satin Moth, Thalaina selenaea.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/natureofgippsland.org\/mothing\/autumn23\/002.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"393\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Lemon Gum Moth, Plesanemma fucata.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/natureofgippsland.org\/mothing\/autumn23\/001.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"465\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Grey-patch Bark-moth, Scioglyptis chionomera.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/natureofgippsland.org\/mothing\/autumn23\/003.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"370\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Australian Cabbage Looper, Chrysodeixis subsidens having a bad hair day.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/natureofgippsland.org\/mothing\/autumn23\/005.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"501\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Another first, a Tortricid, Cryptoptila immersia.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/natureofgippsland.org\/mothing\/autumn23\/crypto.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"408\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The second session for autumn on a night with a bit of light drizzle again saw a relatively small number of moths come in from the garden with no sign of Hepialids.
