Of more interest though were one male and two female Boisduval&#8217;s Autumn Moths, Oenosandra boisduvalii (Oenosandridae)<\/p>\n<p>Female.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/natureofgippsland.org\/mothing\/moths23\/boisf2.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"922\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Male.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/natureofgippsland.org\/mothing\/moths23\/boism2b.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"788\" \/><\/p>\n<p>One of the first moths to the sheet was a female Paraguda nasuta (Lasiocampidae)<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/natureofgippsland.org\/mothing\/moths23\/para2.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"882\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/natureofgippsland.org\/mothing\/moths23\/para1.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"992\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Only two large moths came in, a Monoctenia smerintharia, featured recently, and this Convolvulus Hawk Moth, Agrius convolvuli (Sphingidae) It landed on the concrete and was transferred to the sheet for more pictures.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/natureofgippsland.org\/mothing\/moths23\/agrius1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/natureofgippsland.org\/mothing\/moths23\/agrius1b.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"713\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/natureofgippsland.org\/mothing\/moths23\/abdo.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/natureofgippsland.org\/mothing\/moths23\/abdob.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"615\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Noctuids were fewer than the previous session, but two were of particular interest.<\/p>\n<p>Proteuxoa MOV sp. (6) (Acronictinae_Amphipyrinae)<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/natureofgippsland.org\/mothing\/moths23\/prot.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"844\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And MOV (Leucania) obusta (Hadenini)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/natureofgippsland.org\/mothing\/moths23\/noct1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/natureofgippsland.org\/mothing\/moths23\/noct1b.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"419\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This moth, Meyriccia latro (Pyralidae) was a surprise arrival. <a href=\"http:\/\/lepidoptera.butterflyhouse.com.au\/pyra\/latro.html\">Don Herbison-Evans&#8217; site<\/a> notes that they are usually associated with Grass Trees, where the larvae bore into the seed heads, and are a favourite meal of Cockatoos.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/natureofgippsland.org\/mothing\/moths23\/meyriccia latro.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"1218\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Cleora MOV sp.
